The Face Shop Lovely ME: EX Honey BB Cream

I got this Honey BB Cream on my birthday, which is 2 months ago, and I just started using it last week. My mom and sister gave me some shopping money and this is one of the items I bought for myself :). I normally buy samples first before trying the full size product but I couldn't help myself because when I tried it on the store, it felt so good on my skin. I got this for P495 with 35ml of product which is a lot as normally bb creams that cost the same only come in 20ml. So this bb cream is a lot cheaper and a good investment.

What they say:
Honey BB Cream facilitates firmer and tighter "honey" skin, rich in moisture that gorgeous celebrity boast.

Now who doesn't like the sound of that?! I think this will suit women more who are looking for a firming akeup product. I didn't ask if this is safe for much younger women though. However, The Face Shop uses natural products so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work for teens.

The Face Shop Lovely ME: EX Honey BB Cream Ingredients

The ingredients are listed above for those who are interested to learn which materials they used to produce this bb cream. I'm glad that this time I am able to understand what the brand says about the product because they have the info in English. I love the packaging a lot because it looks neat, clean, and appealing because of the glass bottle, and it comes with a spatula to easily scoop the product on each use.

This bb cream contains SPF 20, PA++ so you don't need to apply sun lotion when using this product. It contains honey known for its nourishing and moisturizing effect, argan oil recognized for it's skin softening properties, and acacia collagen that provides elasticity to the skin. Honey BB Cream helps to achieve moisturized, silky, smooth, and supple skin.

This bb cream is very easy to blend on the skin. It glides smoothly and dries matte making you look more natural and flawless. The consistency is very light and creamy, and applies like gel because it feels cool on the skin. It has a powdery and honey scent that I love making me enjoy every application.

after application

after the bb cream oxidizes for about 3 minutes

As you can see on the photos above, the bb cream dries matte and matches my skin pretty nicely. It doesn't have a grey undertone and will match light to fair skin tones. After application it looks lighter on the skin but it blends with the skin really well after letting it oxidize for about 3 minutes. This bb cream is great for all skin types but the oil control is not impressive if you have oily skin. I had to blot my face after 3 hours but it doesn't make my skin look orange or tan which is great! However, it's summer and been extremely hot and humid recently so I give this bb cream more credit for not melting. After blotting my face looks fresh again and it doesn't cake. Applying a primer on your t-zone does the trick so I would recommend doing so if you have oily skin. Unfortunately it only comes in one shade so that's a little sad for others who have darker skin tones who want to try this bb cream as well.

After almost a week of use I didn't break out. No irritation either. My skin feels very moisturized and soft with every use, and I really love it. My verdict: 5 STARS!!!

Have you tried this bb cream recently? If you have, kindly share your experience and let me know how it works out for you :).

Lioele Water Drop BB Cream

I am a sucker for bb cream because it has improved the condition of my skin while keeping it moisturized and healthy, benefits that I can't get from using a foundation. This is the 7th bb cream brand I've tried and I'm glad I got it because it's become one of my favorites. The packaging is a very clean squeeze tube with 5ml of product. This is a sample size that I got from eBay for only P115 or $2.74 which is not bad because I can use this for more than 10 applications! It comes with SPF 27 which I appreciate especially during the summer because the high sun protection is a must during this hot season.

This bb cream has a gel like consistency, very light weight, and has a mild powdery scent which I actually enjoy. It has light coverage so it's perfect for summer when you don't want to appear too made up but want to look polished and fresh. It's non-buildable so this may not work for you if you need more coverage to conceal blemishes or imperfections.

with a very thin layer of Lioele Water Drop BB Cream

A little goes a long way with this bb cream because it's very blendable and glides through the skin nicely. The amount I have on the photo above is all I needed on my face to even out my skin tone, and I didn't need to use a concealer on my under eye anymore. It doesn't give the face a white or grey cast which is oftentimes the case with bb creams. On natural light, my skin looks dewy, fresh, healthy, and natural. It only appears lighter on photos  because of the spf.

Lioele Water Drop BB Cream is very moisturizing, it doesn't have shimmers, non-oily, and not sticky since it's water based. After 4hrs I needed to blot my skin today, however, it's not bad at all for this extremely humid and hot weather. I think it did really well considering that it's said that it's more suitable for dry skin. This bb cream only comes in one shade so it may not work on others which is unfortunate because this is a great product that many would love if it came in different shades. The actual product looks darker for me but it matched my skin tone nicely after I blended it on my skin.

I have been using this bb cream for days now and it's been nothing but great. You may not appreciate this much if this is your first bb cream because it doesn't do so much in terms of coverage. I just personally like using a face product which allows my skin to breathe and peek through my makeup so I look more natural.

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! This is a good face product to have this summer :).

Danahan Hyoyong Yun Diamond B.B. Cream

I have been planning to put up a review of this amazing bb cream but I always tend to forget about it. This time I really have to do it because I got another bb cream review lined up so I gotta do this now :). The shade that I got is in #23 in Natural Beige. There's a lighter shade but it isn't commonly available. This has SPF 30 / PA++ which is awesome because it provides the skin with great amount of sun protection.

Danahan Hyoyong Yun Diamond B.B. Cream is the first bb cream with 0.1 Karats of Diamonds believed to posses positive energy that improves the skin's condition naturally, helps to lessen wrinkles, and lighten the skin. When I read this on eBay I knew I just had to get it. A Korean seller who soon became my friend because I bought so many bb creams from her told me that this is what she personally uses so I had to try a couple of sample sizes first to test and see if it works for me.

This bb cream is a lot thicker than the other brands I have tried. You can see on the swatch  how dense it is and boy this bb cream can cake a lot if you apply too much! Each pack contains about 1ml of bb cream and you can use for 4-5 applications. You need to moisturize your skin and allow it to set for about 5 minutes before applying this bb cream. Otherwise your skin will absorb  more product than you need and cause your makeup to cake.

The pea size amount you see on the photo above is all I need for my entire face. It has medium coverage and can cover blemishes and imperfection fairly well. This doesn't give my face a grey cast but it reflects light and flash a lot that it looks way too light for me, when in fact it's darker. My shade is natural which should be #21 but this was the only available then and I couldn't find any seller on ebay selling this bb cream anymore. It gives the skin a very dewy and flawless finish, and I normally wear it during the summer because of its high spf content. If you want to build it up to full coverage let it set for about 15 minutes before adding another layer or else it will look messy. Although I wouldn't recommend you to do that if it's too hot or humid because it'll melt.

with bb cream

The photo above shows the before and after the bb cream application, and you can see that it doesn't really match my skin tone perfectly. It appears lighter but it's tad darker in person which is just fine and workable with a loose powder. The longer it sets on the skin the more it looks natural and adapts to my skin tone.

This is a FOTD that I posted a couple of days ago using danahan bb cream and you can see that the coverage is pretty nice. I didn't use any under eye concealer on this look anymore and it managed to make me look awake and normal :). Although I topped this with a light coverage mineral foundation. Nevertheless, it looks like I have a medium coverage foundation on.

I bought this bb cream for P18/each and started with 10 pieces and after 5 days I loved it so much. Then I learned that the seller where I bought this from was the only one still selling this brand so... desperate times call for desperate measures! I had to buy everything she had left which was about 40 pieces and it's all worth it! I have tried 7 brands already and this has the best coverage by far!

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! If you can get your hands on this brand, try it and you'll see how it's different from the others.

Lioele Beyond The Solution BB Cream Review

Any bb cream fan here? I've been a huge fan for almost 3 years now and it has helped improve my skin because I don't have to use a foundation everyday anymore. This is the third bb cream that I'll be reviewing and there's more :). I don't really stick with one brand only because I know that there's always something better so I try different ones to find the best bb cream for me.

There are so many great Asian bb creams out there and I want to try them all if possible! Now why did I say Asian bb cream? There's a western bb cream available now and popular brands and jumping into the band wagon as well making their own versions. I haven't tried the western version yet so I can't compare the two. However, I read reviews on forums and blogs that it's nothing but a tinted moisturizer and doesn't offer any coverage at all. Those who haven't tried Asian bb creams before describe bb cream in general as a tinted moisturizer. It's NOT. It's a a combination of foundation, concealer, moisturizer, and skin care product in one. Many avid Asian bb cream users are not sold on these Western bb creams because they are really expensive. If you have tried both, I'd love to hear your take on this :D.

Ingredients:

This is what's on the back

This is in a sample size in a cute pink and white squeeze tube packaging with 5ml of product. I bought this on eBay for P142 which is not bad at all. You don't really need too much bb cream each use so this will last me for 10 applications or even more. By then I'll know if I should buy again or drop it, or like it greatly to buy the full size.

Lioele Beyond The Solution BB Cream is only available in one shade and has a peachy/beige undertone. This is non-oily and non comedogenic so it'll work on all skin types. It has a semi thick consistency and feels gel like because it's very easy to blend compared to a water based bb cream as Skin Food. When I opened it I was worried that it won't match my skin as it seems darker for me. The flash on my camera washed it out a bit but it is at least shade darker for my skin tone. However, when I blended it, it matched my skin perfectly! See the swatches below:

I love how this bb cream has a light coverage but evens out my skin tone nicely, I didn't need to wear any concealer anymore. It looks natural on the skin making it appear luminous, healthy, and fills the pores without clogging it. This bb cream goes on smoothly and easy to blend making the face routine seamless. I like to do my face makeup lightly and still see my skin peek though and let it breathe so this is really perfect. What I love the most about this bb cream is it's not at all making my face look oily. It's longer staying and oil control is good if I compare it with Danahan and Tony Moly bb creams.

I wore this bb cream yesterday and you can see that it almost makes my skin looking perfect :). The reason why I prefer bb cream over a foundation is it evens out my skin tone and makes my skin looking fresh while keeping it healthy. Of the 5 bb creams I have tried this is so far my favorite :D!

Tips:
  • Moisturize your face first before applying the bb cream for it to blend smoothly and not absorb a lot more product than you need
  • Apply with your fingers to make the most of the small amount of product
  • Allow bb cream to set in between layers if you want more coverage
  • Set with a translucent powder if you don't want that dewy look
  • Try a sample size first if you're unsure which one works for you

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! There's no doubt this is one of the most popular bb cream brands nowadays.
