FOTD: Rosy Glow

Hey everyone! This is just another FOTD post. I did this look a while back, and I don't remember sharing it yet on my blog. I like how it made me look dewy, youthful, and glowy, and I didn't spend so much time doing this. This is a very easy look that anyone can do. I'll list the products that I used to create this look below soon.

FOTD: Soft Brown Eyes

Hello everybody! I've got another FOTD, and I love how this makeup is very much wearable for daytime. If you love shimmer shadows but want them toned down, this is a good one to try. It's definitely not an everyday look, but you could if you're into an edgy eye makeup for daily use. When there's so much going on my face, I like to tone down the brows by using a lighter color so it doesn't draw a lot of attention on that area. I made it slightly arched, and I drew it a little thinner than I normally wear my brows, which is more appropriate as this look is leaning towards sexier than sweet and simple.

This make up is not quick to do but definitely easy. It just seems like I used a lot of products, but really it's a little of everything. If you're looking for an inspiration makeup look for meeting with friends, going to dinner, or even for a business meeting where you want to look classy but not overly done, you can try this. The eyes may appear intimidating in photos, but in person it doesn't look like that at all as NYX eyeshadow trio is not too shimmery but almost has a satin finish. The highlighter is also not as sparkly as it seems if you see my photo taken without flash compared to the ones with flash :D.

If you want to convert this to a nighttime look, you may add a dark-brown shadow on the outer corner and blend it up to the crease, wing the eyeliner, then add some falsies for that sexy eyes effect. You can also use a nude lipstick, or if you want an edgier look, go for red lips!

I hope you like this makeup look. It's late, and I got to go to sleep now. I just wanted to put this up today because it's been a few days since my last post :). Have a good night/day/afternoon! Please comment below if you like this post, and like and follow me if you aren't already, and let's be friends. Have a dazzling day everybody!

Current Beauty Items I'm Testing and FOTD

Hey everybody! I've been MIA because things have been pretty busy, and I'm stressed about a few things. Plus Aunt flow is in town this week, so I'm tired all the time. Time flies by so fast I can't believe it's already Friday! Days went by and I barely noticed it, which is sometimes scary because time is slipping, and I don't get to enjoy it. Anyway, I've been trying a few stuff which I will be reviewing soon, and I'd like to share them with you.

First item is an eyeliner. I finally got my hands on the famous Milani Liquif'eye Eyeliner in Black. I was tempted to get the brown too, but I want to try the black first to see if it's really good before I get the brown. I have to say that after 2 days of use it's alright...

The second item is the Avon Super Extend Extreme Mascara in Black. I loved the super extend a lot so I think I will ove this one as well. I've used it for 2 days and so far; I like it!

Next on the items I'm trying out is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Anti-Oxidant Berry. Although it's not tinted, which what I would have preferred, it's so far the best lip balm I have tried if we're talking about sun protection and lip care. They really live up to their claim of being the next-generation lip balm because this stuff is good considering how cheap it is!

Last on my list is the Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Shampoo. I have the conditioners I'm crazy about them so might as well get the shampoo to achieve better results.

Now for the FOTD, I call this wearable smokey eye because it is more than a simple makeup look but very day appropriate because all the work is on the eyes, and the cheeks and lips are muted. I used simple products, and this is an easy look to put together.

FOTD and New Products

I was in the mood to wear an eyeliner when we went out today because I'm trying this ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen to see if it's any good, so this FOTD is a simple but polished makeup. I'm only wearing mascara and eyeliner on my eyes, a nude matte pink blush and a light touch of highlighter, then a lip balm. Of course, I have foundation, concealer, and powder on my face, which is a very easy to put together look.

I was a little surprised at the quality of the Elf Eyeliner Pen because it stayed on pretty well. No smudging, no budging! It's not really waterproof because it did wash off when I showered after I got home. However, it didn't melt so I'm kind of impressed as it's very inexpensive, considering the quality. I'll try it out more before I review it, but so far so good!

I'm also trying out the Maybelline Angel Fit Perfect Concealer 02 Natural Beige for a while now and I should be posting my review by the first week of October. I'm liking the coverage, just that I have an issue with the shade as it's darker than my skin tone and I have to mix it with my other lighter concealers. The 01 is quite too pink for me so I got this shade instead as I can always add a little of my foundation to get my desired color.

Here are the list of products I used to create this look.

Face:
The Face Shop Oil Control Foundation in Natural
Maybelline Angel Fit Perfect Concealer 02
Palladio Rice Powder in Natural
Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in Dessert Rose
ELF Golden Bronzer (as highlighter)

Eyes:
ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black
Maybelline XXL Curl Power Mascara in Black
The Face Shop Auto Eyebrow Pencil 04

Lips
Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Glow in Pink Blast

The last product I'm trying is for hair, and it's the Dove Intense Repair Treatment Mask. I've been caring for my hair more lately so I wanted to add this product to my routine to see how I like it. You only have to use it once a week, but I think I'll use it twice to give my hair intense conditioning that it needs. I have been taking it for granted for a long time, and I'm not doing it anymore. So I used it to tonight, and my hair is already softer, smoother, shinier, and smells good!

That's all for today! Just a short update and some new things I want to share with you. I'm on my phone so the picture quality is not very good. I do have some pictures on my camera, but I'm too lazy to import the photos. I also added some effects on my pictures using a great app that I had been loving just to add a new feel to it :). Please excuse my eye bags as I didn't get enough sleep :D. This post was done yesterday, but I didn't know that I wasn't able to publish it.

I hope you all are having a great weekend! Please like, comment, and follow me if you haven't already. Take care and God bless :).

Trying A Few Makeup Stuff (Maybelline Blush, Baby Lips, The Face Shop Foundation)

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Did anyone of you feel how hot it was this afternoon?! I wanted to go to the mall because my internet was down and nothing interesting is showing on cable, but I was too lazy to get ready so I just stayed home and slept all afternoon. Anyway, I've been trying out a few makeup stuff this week, and I wanted to share them with you. I used these products to create a fresh and simple makeup look that I wore the other day to run errands.

I posted an instagram of the Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Glow Lip Balm in Baby Pink and Pink Blast that I bought last week, and I have been using them everyday, well at this moment; I'm only using the Pink Blast. I have been loving this lip balm because it's very comfortable on the lips, and the tint is pigmented enough just the way I like it. I love pink lip products so that explains why I love this lip balm a lot, and I'm wearing it on this photo underneath my Revlon Balm Stain. I'll be reviewing this next week so watch out for that :).

I have never reached pan on my blush except for one, and that is on my Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in Dusty Rose. I love this blush so much that I kept holding on to it even if it was already in tiny pieces because the shade is very subtle, and it's a lovely shade for every day if you want a more natural look. Then I was checking on my stash and found that the blush my Aunt got me when she came home last year was the same shade, only in a new black packaging (instead of the old grey). I was so ecstatic that I opened it up and used it, and tossed out the old one right away LOL. It was really an old one and there was barely anything there so I don't feel guilty at all :D.

The next product that I'm very excited about is The Face Shop Oil Control Foundation, and the name really caught my attention! Who wouldn't want to have an oil control foundation in the first place? My lovely friends from TFS gave me a sample which I could use for 10 applications, thanks ladies! My first impression: it's really good! I'm wearing it on this photo, and this was taken when I got home after 5hrs. I didn't blot my face, but I did set this with a powder. I say it's not bad at all considering how hot and humid it is here! It has a light to medium buildable coverage. I only used a thin layer, but it held on to my skin pretty well. It only has 1 shade, in natural and is yellow based, which will match light to fair skin tones. This is a new product from TFS which to me is really worth trying. It's pricey compared to Revlon and Maybelline, and I don't seriously need another foundation because I have 3 now, so I may not be buying this soon :(.

So that's all for today. It's my day off already, and I'm just very excited to rest and go out of my nest to unwind. I hope you all have a great weekend! Please comment, like, and follow me if you aren't already. Have a dazzling day everyone! ♥
