Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Treatment Mask

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? It's been a few days since my last post because I got a little busy with work. Anyway, I have a hair care product review today, and it's on the Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Treatment Mask. I have been using this treatment mask for 2 weeks now and so far my hair has never been better! The plastic tub contains 200ml of product for P259 more or less (sorry I forgot how much it costs exactly).

What Dove says:
Scientifically proven to work at 3 levels. It's fast melting formula with Fiber Actives and Vita-Protein Complex, absorbs deeply to help bind proteins in the core of the hair to boost hair's inner resistance and strength so it's more resilient against future damage.

How to use:
As your weekly hair care regimen, apply a palmful and massage onto freshly cleansed hair concentrating from the middle to the ends. Leave for at least 3-5 minutes for best results. Rinses out easily.

I color and style my hair using hair iron or dryer, and it makes my hair dry, frizzy, and damaged. Of course, hair fall is unavoidable too. I've had enough of having a bad hair decade so this is me doing something about it :). I apply heat protect serum before styling, but I notice that even that is not enough to prevent my hair from drying. I have to use a decent conditioner religiously to keep it healthy. I use the daily treatment conditioner, and that was really good, but after I finished the tube, I decided to try this instead because this is concentrated, and figured this will be cheaper since I don't need to use too much each time.

This conditioner has a thick consistency and does rinse out easily (love!). It keeps my hair really soft, shiny, and smooth all throughout the day. I can comb it with my fingers without trouble, and I couldn't do that before without breaking a hair or two. I love the scent a lot too as it makes my hair smell clean and healthy. It weighs my hair down, but I like that because my hair is really fine and fluffy, so that to me is a good thing.

Now to the fun part, where we breakdown the good and the bad (?).

PROS:

  • It keeps my hair soft, smooth, and shiny
  • Made my hair healthier
  • Very rich and creamy
  • Nice clean scent
  • Rinses off easily
  • Doesn't make my hair greasy
  • Didn't cause me dandruff

CONS:
  • A little pricey

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! Overall, this treatment mask is a good buy. It's a little pricey but definitely cheaper than the others, and works better on my hair.

I hope this post was helpful. Please comment, like, and follow me if you aren't already. Have a dazzling day everyone!

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner

I've recently been caring for my hair more than I did in the past. I color my hair so it needs extra care now, otherwise I'll end up with dry and damaged hair. I went through a few sessions of relaxing and coloring before, but I stopped chemically treating my hair now for more than 5 years, except for coloring every 3 months. However, I still use hair dryer and iron if I want to wear my hair down, and that can really be damaging if I don't use extra protection to my hair.

The Dove hair-care products are kind of new in the market, so I went ahead and tried their conditioners. I use 2 different kinds; the first one is the Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner which I previously reviewed, and this one, Dove Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner. Why two kinds? Well, my hair is pretty dry and frizzy, but it's soft, and I wanted a treatment conditioner that will help repair my damaged hair and give it the nourishment that it needs. I figured I have invested on good skin products, why not do the same to my hair, and it's never too late! This is a daily conditioner by the way and I use it in alternate with the Damage Therapy.

What Dove says about this conditioner:

It's a daily treatment conditioner with revolutionary nuti-oils, that deliver the power of double nourishment for smooth and shiny hair. Dry hair needs more than simply moisture, it also needs essential nutrients that restore smoothness, softness, and shine. It has dual action formula that delivers the power of double nourishment.

Gold Stripe:
Treatment with revolutionary Nutri-Oils, a unique blend with natural coconut, almond and sunflower oils, to deeply nourish and replenish essential nutrients, leaving NO GREASINESS.

White Stripe:
Conditioner that seals cuticles to lock in nourishment and smooth frizz.

Now let's go down to the PROS and CONS:

What I like:

It has improved the condition of my hair as it's softer, smoother, and healthier now. It smells really good! I cannot explain the scent, but I can smell the coconut and almond there which I love. My hair used to be brittle after I use my hair iron but not, it's silky smooth, and it doesn't get dry. This conditioner gives a good amount of moisture and nourishment to my hair without weighing it down. My hair is also less frizzy now, and it's more manageable. It helps to keep my hair smooth and tangle free all day long even if it's windy, humid, or hot.

What I dislike:

It's a little pricey compared to other local brands, thus if you have longer hair and use a lot of conditioner, a tube will only last you a week or so. I wish it came in a larger packing as it's normally cheaper if you buy in bigger volumes.

I have tried a lot of hair care brands before and my hair only responded greatly on Dove, so far. I use other products too like my deep conditioner, leave on conditioner, and serum, though so I cannot really give all the credit to Dove. Although I have used these before as well, but my hair wasn't as healthy as it is today, so it's still a great factor :). This post is not in any way sponsored, and I used my own money to buy this conditioner which I have not been using for more than 2 months now.

My verdict: 5 STARS!!!

Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair Conditioner

I have fine, wavy, and frizzy hair, which is really not the best type to manage, so I normally just pull my hair back and use hair spray to keep it tidy. For a long time, I used Loreal Smooth Intense Caring Conditioner, which is specially made for dry hair, and I liked it because it somehow kept my kinky hair in place, but it didn't actually help to give my hair all the moisture it needs. Until I saw this product and thought of trying it out as it's for intense repair, which is exactly what I need for my dry hair.

Dove Intense Repair Conditioner

It comes in a squeeze tube packaging with 180ml of product at P104. The conditioner has a very thick and creamy consistency, and smells really good. It's said to contain fiver actives that are proven to reconstruct hair deep inside. It also has patented Micro Moisture Serum that strengthens and nourishes hair from roots to tips. I use quite enough amount on my hair, and one tube lasts me a little over a week.

I massage this on my hair for two minutes, and leave it on for three before I rinse it off to allow my hair to absorb the nutrients well. After washing my hair, I feel that it's really healthier! It kind of wears my hair down in a good way because I have fine hair, so it prevents it from going all over the place, especially when it's windy. This conditioner has helped a lot to keep my hair much softer, tangle free, and less frizzy. It's definitely more manageable now, less hair fall, and smoother. I love combing my hair with my fingers now because it's silky smooth. I didn't experience any itching, nor this gave me dandruff.

I feel terrible that I don't care for my hair as much as I do with my skin, so I started to make more effort in caring for my hair now. I only shampoo three times a week, and use conditioner everyday, and so far it has improved the condition of my hair a lot. I use another Dove daily conditioner in alternate with this one, and another deep conditioner, which I use three times a week, and this routine has worked greatly for me. I'll write a review on the other conditioners I use soon.

I have been using this conditioner for 2 months now, and I'm loving it. I believe I have found the perfect conditioner for me, at long last :). This is by far the best conditioner I have tried, and I will continue using it.

My verdict: 5 STARS!!!
