ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner in Black

I got this in coffee which I purchased December 2009 and I didn't like it as much. The first month of use was okay but then it dried out pretty badly. I cannot even restore it anymore after trying several options which was unfortunate because it's a total waste. However, when I tried the tester and felt that the product is not too thick as the one I had, I decided to give it another try and prayed it doesn't disappoint me again. It's still priced at P249.75 or $3 from their website. If you want to check out my review on the ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner in Coffee, please click on the link.

The eyeliner comes with a small, denser, but softer bristle brush which is very usable. As a matter of fact it's the only brush I use on this product because I have good control and it creates a thin line. I like the product more now because it's not as thick and more blendable than the coffee I got. the first thing I noticed when I swatched it was it's creamier than before making the application very smooth and trouble-free. The color is very black and matte the way I like it. I only swatched it once but you can see that it created a very clean black line, perfect for creating a cat eye.

This liner stays in plays for a very long time when applied on the lash line and it doesn't smudge! I cannot complain about the staying power because this line isn't going anywhere :).I have to use Olive oil to completely remove it. However, it's not all good. I don't like that this melts if I use it to tight line. After 2-3 hours the eyeliner dissolves and transfers on my lower water line which is a little disappointing as I only normally tight line my upper water line for softer looks, unless I'm going for a more dramatic eye makeup. The coffee one was really good though on the water line as it didn't move at all.

If only this liner doesn't melt on the water line, this would have been the perfect liner for me. It's still a good one though and I prefer it than my Fanny Seranno Gel Liner which is a little watery. If you're looking for an affordable but good quality cream eyeliner, this is really a brand product to try. Elf cosmetics are reasonably priced, have good quality, and are worth every penny if you ask me.
My verdict: 4 STARS!!!

Eyeliner Review: ELF Brightening Eyeliner in Gilded

I did get the ELF Essential Eyeliner in another shade like I said in my previous post. I just like how the eyeliner glides on so I thought of getting a lighter color I can use on my lower water line for everyday look. The retail price is at P129.75 like the other Elf Essentials Products and you can buy them online for only $1 at eyeslipsface.com.

ELF Brightening Eyeliner in Gilded

This eyeliner just glides on smoothly like the Elf black eyeliner I reviewed last week. The product is very soft and very easy to apply on the water line. I'm not really a fan of applying dark eyeliners on my lower water line because it makes me look more mature. This shade is just right to brighten up the eye without making the eyes look loud.

It does help define the eyes and brighten the area in a subtle way. I love that it's very pigmented and it lasts for hours. It does move but it's not as obvious. Setting it with an eye shadow will make it last longer and keep it in place. I love this eyeliner because the quality is good and the price is really affordable. I give this product 4 STARS!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Take care :D

ELF Cosmetics Review: Essential Brightening Eyeliner in Black

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? I will be doing a short review on the ELF Brightening Eyeliner in Black. I am not a huge eyeliner person but sometimes I like using it on my upper water line to make my lashes look thicker :D. The retail price of this eyeliner is P129.75 and you can buy it from SM Department Stores or Watsons. You may also buy it online at eyeslipsface.com. It also came with a sharpener which you cannot beat for the price! :D

ELF Brightening Eyeliner in Black

I read from a post of one of my forum members that ELF's eyeliners are really good so I decided to check it out. The thing that surprised me is the quality of the product and how reasonable the price is. It was very soft and very easy to blend. You can control how think or thick you want the line to show. I use Maybelline eyeliner and they hardly come on. It's very difficult to use on the upper water line because you have to swatch it a few times and put a little more pressure for the line to show up. With this eyeliner I was really surprised that it glided on my water line smoothly and it was very easy to apply. You can achieve a pretty smokey lash line with this product!

On the swatch below, I hardly put pressure on the pencil because it was very soft and it's going to break but the color payoff is really nice. I have also tried Avon's glimmersticks in blackest black but it's not as black as ELF's eyeliner and it's not as smooth either.

If you check out my photo above, my lashes look fuller because I have this eyeliner on my water line and I like how it looks. One problem I had with this though was since it's soft and very blendable, it transfers so you have to be careful with this. You can apply an eyeshadow to set it but you have to be very careful to keep the product off your eyes.

PROS:
Easy to apply
Glides on smoothly
Bold Color
Very pigmented
Easy to blend

CONS:
Smudges

Overall I like this eyeliner and I actually got it in Gilded too which is a golden color that's great for the lower lash and water line . I'll write a review on it soon. I give this 4 STARS!!!

Hope this review is helpful to anyone considering to get this eyeliner. Take care!
