ELF Studio 32 Piece Eyeshadow Palette in Warm

I have been wanting to get this palette for a long time and finally here it is! I was extremely excited when I saw this and could not wait to try it. This palette has 32 warm colors which I really love. There are peach-y, browns, pinks, purple-y, silver, grey, and black shades and to me is all you need to create many combinations.

list of ingredients

I really love how they presented the product because it looks so neat and organized. Although the packaging is a bit flimsy and could break if you drop it. It's also a little too difficult to open. I actually broke my nail today opening the palette :(.

It only comes with one applicator and I don't think it's enough for all the many colors on this palette. I won't be using the applicator often but it comes in handy when you're travelling. And some users may want to use them and yet it only comes with one tiny sponge applicator. The mirror size is good enough and very useful especially when you're on the road.

love the palette! very presentable!

very organized

amazing variety of warm shades

The colors are really pretty! I'm just so excited to use them probably tomorrow. It has matte, shimmer, and glitter shadows and perfect for any look you want to wear. I love smokey eye so much and I can see myself using this palette more often! Some of the shades are more pigmented than the others and some are more powdery than the others. These shadow will show up better with a sticky base and will take care of the excess powder during the application. However, it should look beautiful without the base as well but be careful with fall outs. I love how the shadows are very fine so it's easy to blend and build up if you want to intensify the color. The staying power I bet is going to be remarkable because removing the swatches on my skin with a wet tissue was a challenge. No kidding! The darkest shades such as the blacks, grays, and browns can be used as an eyeliner or as outer corner color, and the lighter shadows are great for highlights. See the swatches below on their proper order (row):

This palette is worth the cost if you ask me. I would grab this when travelling and I can create all the looks I want :). The shades are all very pretty but my favorites are the shimmer shadows which look absolutely divine! If you check out the swatches you'll see that some of the shimmer shadows really stand out :).

Since the fashion color of 2012 is Tangerine Tango, warms, neutrals, and bronzed eyes are definitely in. It's the best time to score that red and tangerine lips or bronzed eye with nude or glossy lips! :)

My verdict: 4.5 STARS!!! If not for the over powdery shadows I would have given this a 5. And yes I recommend this palette to any makeup junkie :D. It's a must have eyeshadow palette for a reasonable price.

FOTD: Elf Natural Palette Smokey Eye

I was only supposed to play with my makeup when I remembered that I haven't created a smokey eye look yet using the Elf Natural Palette. I did a review of this eyeshadow palette a few months back, just click on the link to see the swatches. So this is the look I created today. I used mostly Elf products and it turned put pretty well. I didn't use a concealer for this look so please excuse my blemishes if you spot any LOL. I just dusted my face with pigeon pressed powder to set the makeup afterwards. Sorry for the messy hair :D. I didn't intend to do a FOTD but after I finished the eye makeup I decided to finish it off anyway and take some photos. So might as well create a blog post about it to share to you all.

The flash of my camera (which I plan to replace soon) is washing all the colors off so I'm a little disappointed of how the finished eye look turned out. In person it looks more detailed and you can see the blending of 4 different shadows I used to create the smokey effect :(. However, I'm really happy with this palette and the shades are just amazingly pigmented! You only have to be careful of fall outs because the shadow is not pressed very well. I love how the product is very fine and blends with each other nicely. It's definitely worth the price and more.
