August Beauty Favorites

Hey everyone! I finally got started with this monthly favorites post. I have been planning to get this up for 3 months now so I'm really glad that at last I found time to do this. This is a recap of all the makeup products that I have been reaching for last month. I was so into flushed cheeks, neutral eyes, and pink or coral lips last month and these are the products that I used more often.

August was pretty hot and humid, so I found myself using the Loreal foundation more often because it's light weight, long staying, and keeps my oil at bay. For those not so hot days, of course I go back to my bb cream. Etude House concealer offers good enough coverage for me and works well for my under eye. The Palladio rice powder has been my favorite setting powder because of its oil control, and that what I really needed.

Because of the temperature, it still feels like summer to me, and I loved using my sunny bronzer just because it's matte, and the shade is perfect. NYX silky rose has been my favorite blush since I got it because it gives me this natural pinky flush of color on my cheeks. It's very flattering and long staying, which is why it's been my favorite. Mellow wine is also another blush that I wore a lot because the shade is very complimentary. It's extremely pigmented and makes my skin look healthy.

The nyx shadow trio's shades are very pretty, and I have been using it quite often as it gives the lid a satin finish (not shimmery). I love using the cool toned taupe color a lot when I am going for a lightly tinted lip and flushed cheeks. The revlon colorstay quad has 4 neutral shades, which are suitable for all occasions, the best shades for the look that was going for. I dropped this and the packaging broke so I had to tape it together :). I used the Lash Blast on not so hot days and the Etude House of humid days as it's waterproof. It doesn't say it is on the packaging, but I believe it is. They are both volumizing mascara, which is why I love them a lot.

Maybelline Lip Balm in Cranberry Jam

These lip products are the ones I used more often last months because it's easy to wear and light-weight. I'm in love with my lip butter and with my Loreal lipstick in coral, so I reached for them a lot. The lip tint dries matte and gives a natural color on my lips, so if I'm running errands, I mostly wear this and top it off with the maybelline lip balm which is slightly tinted as well. If I'm feeling more care free I just use the lip balm alone :).
