The Face Shop Nail Polish GR506

It's been awhile since I posted a review on The Face Shop Nail Polish. I already have a few to go through, but this is the first one on my list because it's more appropriate for summer. I have been using this nail color for 3 straight weeks since I got it! It's a very pretty teal color that's perfect for the season. I have used it on my last nail art, and I love it a lot! This is the Lovely:ME EX Nails, and the shade is GR506. You can get it from any The Face Shop Store for P95.

Without Flash

The color is just so pretty!

I love how it adds a pop of color on the nails and gives it a fun vibe. It brightens the skin too so I can see this working on any skin tone. It's very true to its color as you can see in the photos above. This particular product is thicker than their regular TFS Nail Polish so it's more opaque, dries quickly on the brush but slower when applied to the nails because of the consistency. I normally apply 2-3 coats, and I'm good, but I always make sure that I allow enough drying time in between layers to prevent bubbles. It also makes the nail polish last longer and not chip quickly. It has a slight gloss already so you can skip the top coat, but if you want it glossier and have a cleaner look, feel free to apply a top coat. This isn't streaky so it's easy to apply.

Really love how cute the color is

Just ignore the mess around my nails :)

Drying time is okay but not the quickest. I normally wait about 3 minutes in between coats and 5-10 minutes for it to be completely dry, (depending on how much product I apply on each layer) when I'm done with the final coat, which is not bad at all. If you're too impatient to wait that long, which I sometimes am, I recommend you use Seche Vite Top Coat! I bought a mini one last month, and it's seriously amazing and worth the price, and the hype! The small bottle will last you a long time so it's really worth it. I'll write up another review on that soon.

Still The Face Shop Nail Polish is my favorite brand of nail color to use because they have amazing color selection, very inexpensive, and last long. They also have more expensive nails polishes, which are smoother, longer lasting, and better quality like the Face It and the Wide ones. For the record, this isn't a sponsored post. I just love the brand and their products :).

I hope you enjoyed this post! Until my next blog post! Take care! ♥

NOTD: Purple and Yellow

Hey everyone. How are you all doing? I just want to quickly post a nail of the day photo. This isn't in any way inspired by the LA LAKERS :). I didn't notice it at all until fiance' brought it up because these are their colors. He thought it's inspired by the team, but no it's not. I only wanted to wear something new today, so I painted one nail yellow and the others purple to give it a fun and summer appropriate look.

I took this photo using my Note 2 without flash, so I can show you the true colors of the polishes on my nails. Do you like it?! I'm also publishing this from my phone to catch up on my blog. It's been a while since I last put up anything here.

I used one brand only and it's from The Face Shop. Color codes/names are listed below:

The Face Shop Nail Base Coat in 02

The Face Shop Nail Polish PP401
The Face Shop Nail Polish YL702

I'll be posting a new product review this week. I've just been pretty busy with work that I couldn't put it up sooner.

I hope you all are having a good night/day!

The Face Shop Nail Polish Review BK901

I always thought that black nail polishes were too much for me; that's why I haven't really bothered buying one. I imaged it would be difficult to clean up and work with, and a very sexy nail color. Until I finally decided to try it and see how it works out for me. Well, what do you know, I really like it! I just had to cut my nails because it looks better on shorter nails if you ask me. I'm really glad that I did because I think this is my new favorite nail color now! The price is still at P95 from any The Face Shop store. If you are new to black nail color, this is a good place to start without breaking your pocket :).

The Face Shop Nail Polish BK901

This nail polish review is on The Face Shop Nail Polish BK901 from the Lovely ME collection. I think TFS reformulated their nail polishes because the Lovely Me:Ex line used to have a thick consistency that is a little difficult to work with, and dries pretty quickly on the wand, and now it's more runny. I didn't have a problem putting it on because as always, the brush is nice enough to work with and the thinner consistency helped me to work with it easily. Since it's a black nail color, I was more careful with the application because I don't want too much mess on my fingers as I know it'll be a pain to clean up.

The Face Shop Nail Polish BK901 Swatch

I love how opaque and very black this nail polish is. I only applied 2 coats but you can see how bold the color is. I think my nails look better in black than any other colors, and I believe black will look good on all skin tones as well! This also dries quickly, which is another good thing about it. I didn't have to wait for long to apply the second layer. It stayed on my nails pretty good, and only started chipping after 5 days. I don't normally use the same color on my nails often, but I have worn this for almost a month now; that's how much I like it.

PROS:
Long wearing
Easy to apply
Inexpensive
Great quality
Very Opaque
Quick Dry
Beautiful color for all skin tones

CONS:
I don't believe there's any  ^_^

I tried wearing this the first time on slightly longer nails, but it didn't look nice to me, so I had to cut my nails short, and I love it. I think dark nail colors on shorter nails make it look classier and sophisticated. This nail polish has been a favorite product this month for sure, and I don't think I'll get tired of wearing this color on my nails.

My verdict: 5 STARS!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating this special occasion! Have fun :)

The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish OR201

Finally, after a long time since my last post, I now have a new The Face Shop Nail Polish review on the shade R201, and this is on the range Lovely ME:EX When I saw this nail polish, I was easily attracted to the color because it reminds me so much of melon milk which I love a lot :). I like pastel colors on my nails because it brightens my mood, and this one is a good addition to my collection.

The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Nail Polish OR201

I didn't use to like this range because it has a thicker consistency than the regular TFS nail polish, and because each layer is thick, it chips easier and faster. I only get this kind if there's a color that I cannot refuse, which was the case when I got this polish. When I applied it, however, I noticed that it'a runny now, less streaky, and easy to apply. What I have on my nails are 3 coats, and it's very opaque, which is another thing that I like about it. Anyone can use this shade, but this will especially complement those with fair skins. Below are some swatches, hope you like them!

This nail polish is true to its color as you can see on the picture. It's dries rather quickly now too, and as you can see, no bubbles! The brush has just the right size and length to allow you to have control and apply lightly if you don't want to deposit too much of the product on every coat. Applying a lot on each layer will only delay the drying process, chip easily, and make the nails look thick, one thing that I don't like.

Just ignore the dry skin around my nails :). I didn't clean it up anymore as I was very excited to take some shots and put up this post. This is how it looks like on a different lighting, and this nail polish just looks so pretty! If you're into orange nails, you really have to try this one.

So let's breakdown the pros and cons of this nail polish.

PROS
  • Pretty color
  • Dries quickly
  • Not streaky
  • Easy to apply
  • Very opaque
  • Just the right consistency
  • Doesn't bubble
  • Affordable

CONS
  • I cannot think of any yet :D

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! This is a pretty affordable nail polish for the quality. I have tried a local brand which retails at half the price, but it really didn't work for me. If you're into good-quality nail polish with a wide variety of colors to choose from and don't want to hurt your pocket, this is one to consider.

I hope this post was helpful. Please comment, like, and follow me if you aren't already. Have a dazzling day everyone!

Spring/Summer Nails! The Face Shop Nail Polish PP401

It's been awhile since my last The Face Shop Nail Polish review so I'm so excited to post this one up. I actually have 2 more lined up but have been pretty lazy applying nail colors lately (I blame the heat for that LOL!). This nail color is from the Lovely ME:EX line and costs P95. I love this packaging because it looks really cute and clean with the white handle.

shade info

The shade is a very pretty pastel purple that reminds me so much of the ube ice cream! This is a perfect nail color for the Spring/Summer because the color is so lively and fun. I love that this isn't a bright color so anyone can definitely wear this nail polish at any day. It will stand out on light to fair skin even more.

The consistency of this particular nail polish line is a lot thicker than the regular ones with the black handle, so do not take too much product for each coat. Pigmentation is quite good, very opaque, and true to it's color as you can see on the swatches below. I applied 3 coats to achieve this intensity and I didn't need to apply a top coat anymore because this is already shiny as it is. Although you can use a top coat if you want it to last longer and scratch free. I of course never fail to use a base coat first to protect my nails from any damage and it helps to make my nail color last for almost a week.

This nail polish dries fast so always give enough time for the product to dry in between coats to avoid any bubbles and for the product to stick better. You can build it up if you want a more intense color but don't rush it and ensure that it dries pretty well in between coats to avoid chipping or damage. I have also read from blogs that The Face Shop Nail Polishes dries fast on the bottle but so far it has never happened to me. I just make sure that I close it tightly and don't store it where there's direct sunlight.

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! It's worth every cent because it's very pigmented, dries fast, lasts long, very opaque, and easy to apply. This is a good quality nail polish and definitely worth the investment.

What's your favorite nail color to wear this summer? Everyone is welcome to attach a swatch on your message :).

The Face Shop Nail Polish GR501

Hello everyone! I have another The Face Shop Nail Polish review for you all. It's on a shade I'm really excited about because I love how bright and flattering it is. This is in shade GR501 which is a sheer yellow green polish with tons of glitters! This was from my December purchase and yet it still feels like new. It didn't dry up or discolor at all. I've heard from other TFS nail polish users that it dries up on the bottle fast, fortunately for me that hasn't happened yet. This is from their regular nail polish line at P95 from any The Face Shop store.

The Face Shop Nail Polish GR501 ingredients

The Face Shop Nail Polish GR501 shade #

The swatches look yellow because of the flash on my camera. And because it's sheer so it looks lighter than the color on the bottle. I applied 4 coats on my nails to achieve this intensity. I didn't want to add any more because I don't want it to be thicker which oftentimes make it easier to chip. I didn't add a top coat either because the shine of the polish is more than enough for me.

the shade makes my skin appear fairer :)

i love the color!

I love glitter polishes because it stays on longer as the glitters hold the polish together, and it sticks on the nails very well. It's even a little difficult to remove so if you're looking for a vibrant nail color which can last for more than a week, this is one kind to consider. They also come in many different shades :). It's easy to apply as it's not streaky nor thick. It dries up in a matter of 3 minutes and doesn't bubble so I like it even more :). If you want it to look more opaque, you can add a few more layers without making it seem like you have tons of product on your nails.

This will be a lovely nail color for Spring, or for the coming summer in the Philippines in a month :). I'd definitely wear this in the beach because of it's very attractive and vibrant color which is so like summer! And because I just love bright nail colors! :D

Overall this nail color is really good and it's climbing up the charts of my favorite polishes :). My rating, absolutely 5 STARS!!!
