Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine

This is my first Wet N Wild blush, and it's one of the most pigmented blusher I have. I didn't expect to get this color pay off for a budget makeup, and I am very much pleased with this product. Surprisingly, this blush only costs P299.75. For 4g of product, this will last me a long time. The packaging is a little plastic-y and flimsy. I would be careful when carrying this as it could shatter into pieces if you drop it. However, that's already to be expected because of the reasonable price. I'd rather it has a weak packaging than second rate quality. It comes with a tiny slanted blush brush which I don't really use because it's a little too firm, but it's good enough to have for touch ups when I'm on the go or carrying this on my purse.

The powder is fine, silky smooth, glides on the skin easily, and easy to blend. The best thing about it is its matte so it's perfect for everyday use! It has a few shimmers as you can see on the swatch below, but it's not at all visible when applied to the skin. I have been using this for three days now, and I really love it! Staying power is amazing as it can last all day without a need for touch up. The shade doesn't oxidize instead it looks prettier the longer it stays on.

The shade is a very pretty peachy dusty rose that gives the skin a natural flush. You have to apply this blush with a very light hand because it's extremely pigmented. The product is not pressed very well, and you take a lot of powder when you dip your brush on the blush so you have to tap it gently. Using a stipple brush will help to take just enough product and apply it lightly.

Here's a photo of me wearing this blush. I had to apply it lightly on my cheeks to achieve a subtle effect because this blush is extremely pigmented. It was quite of a blending work, but it's worth it :).

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! I highly recommend everyone to try the Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher. It's really a good value for money.

Update:
I just learned from Emily Noel on Youtube that Mellow Wine is a dupe for MAC Desert Rose! The swatch looked exactly similar so to anyone looking for an inexpensive alternative, do give this a shot. For the price, pigmentation, and the staying power, you really can't go wrong with this product!

Wet 'N' Wild Twist-Up Blush Stick Swatches and Review

This isn't going to be a long review of this product. I'll just show you some swatches and share my thoughts  and experience on this blush. I don't have a makeup on now so I can't take a picture to show you how it looks on the cheeks yet. I did a review on the Avon One Great Mascara earlier so I just added a little eyeshadow on my lid and used this as a highlight. Hope you enjoy this!

Wet 'N' Wild Twist-Up Blush Stick

This particular twist-up blush stick in 724 a very pretty light pink shimmer blush stick perfect as a highlight. You can use it on the cheeks bones, brow bone, cupid's bow, and the bridge of the nose to highlight the face. This is also a good color for the inner corner to open up the eyes and make you look more awake. You may also use this on top of a cream blush to intensify the look. It's very pigmented, easy to blend, and buildable without looking heavy or cakey. It's more like a powder blush than a cream blush so it just glides on the skin making the application easy. You can use either your fingers or brush to blend it. It's not oily or sticky like a cream blush and you hardly feel it on your skin.

Wet 'N' Wild Twist-Up Blush Stick as a brow highlight

I used this on my cheeks before and the staying power is okay. It lasted for about 5 - 6hrs if I am not mistaken. It's an multi-purpose makeup that many will love. It has a funny scent like that of a Wet N Wild lipstick though which I am not a fan of. But that's the only con I can think of for now. This is already a discontinued product but I think you can still find this on ebay.

I'll wear this blush in another look soon. Thanks so much for reading and I hope you check out my other posts! Take care :)

Pictures using this product as a cheek highlight now posted. Check it out!
