Eyeshadow Review: The Face Shop Lovey Me:Ex YL703

Hello everyone! I have another makeup review for you all and the product I am reviewing today is The Face Shop Lovey Me:Ex YL703 Eye Shadow. When I was at the mall last week, I stopped by my favorite shop to buy some nail polish and this eye shadow caught my attention. The white plastic packaging looks really cute and sturdy and the shade is in golden yellow with glitters. Really very pretty!  I thought of getting one for a few weeks now as there are days when I like a very subtle but pretty eyes when I am not in the mood to do my makeup. There are a lot more shades available to choose from for those interested and it retails at P279 at any TFS store.

Below are some swatches of the product. I only took a small amount of product using my finger and the color pay off is really nice. It's a beautiful eye shadow for teens and those young at heart too :D. It's very easy to apply and buildable to your liking. You can use a taupe-y base shadow for a more natural shade or a yellow base to make the color adhere more. See image below:

This is a photo of me wearing the eye shadow and as you can see it's really very simple but the glitter makes the whole look pretty. I recently broke out probably because of hormones so please excuse my recent pictures where my blemishes are visible. It's dried up now though and I cannot wait to totally get rid of it :D.

Overall this eyeshadow is fun to wear and I like it! I think the price is also reasonable compared to other brands. It has a lot of product so I don't mind the price at all. I do have a similar shadow on my ELF Natural Eyeshadow Palette  for those who are interested on this particular shade. It's similar and a cheaper alternative plus you get more shades! I give this product 4 STARS!!!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. Please let me know if you have questions. Take care!

ELF Essential Duo Powder Eye Shadow in Mocha Swirl

Hello everyone! I have another makeup review for you all and this time it's on ELF Essential Duo Powder Eyeshadow in Mocha Swirl. I have reviewed quite a few ELF products already and none of them have disappointed me yet! I have this same shade on a cream duo eye shadow and I love it too! I thought of using the cream shadow as a base to make the color adhere more but I decided not to do that because I wanted to see how long this will last. I got this for P129.75 at SM Department Store, you can buy this online at eyeslipsface.com for $1, or you can also find this on  Ebay. It has 4 grams of product, so 2 grams each which I think it will last quite a long time. It's on a black plastic packaging with a transparent top.

Both colors are really very pretty and can be worn everyday makeup or even for night out. I did a smokey eye look with this but you can certainly use the mocha shade all over the lid and the lighter shade as a highlight for a simple but polished look. These shadows has a creamy consistency, it has a good pigmentation, very easy to use, and blend. It didn't take me long to do my eye makeup at all and I enjoyed working it on my and crease. I did not use a primer prior to the application yet it looked the same after 6 hours. You can build it up according to the depth you like and it won't crease! It's really true to it's word that it's long wear and crease resistant.

Here's a photo of me wearing this eye shadow. I have the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Coral Sunrise and I will be reviewing that today as well so please check it out too.

Overall this product works great and for the price, you cannot believe the quality of this eye shadow. I actually wanted to get the Butter Pecan too but all the powder eye shadows were sold out :). I'll surely purchase a different shade once they become available.

PROS:

Good quality
Affordable price
Long wear
Good pigmentation
Crease resistant
Buildable
Blendable
Easy to use

CONS:

Can't think of any at all :)

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! Thanks for reading everyone!

4U2 Dream Girl Happening Eyeshadow

4U2 Dream Girl Happening Eyeshadow

I noticed this eye shadow last week and I thought they look lovely. The problem is it doesn't say what shade it is so I can't tell you guys but I got it from Watsons for P164 and I think it's not bad. I like the packaging because it's black with pink print and it looks clean. It has 2 pretty shades in one and I think it's a good deal. The other color is like a champagne color and the other one is coral-y shade and both of them are pearl based.

I got this because I liked the champagne color for everyday use. I wear a very simple makeup when I run errands and I think this will look great. The coral shade looks pretty too so even if this is the first product I have from 4U2, I still wanted to try it.

The shadow is not as pigmented as it is on the picture when you swatch it on your skin. I had my elf primer on so it helped make the color show up more. It's very easy to blend, it's buildable, and long lasting. The swatch on my hands didn't wear off for hours. And they look lovely! The color is very soft and makes the eyes open up more. Very ideal for everyday use.

So far I like it. They have quads too and I think their colors are also very pretty. Just want to share with you this new product I tried and I hope you all like it :). I give this product 4 STARS!!!

ELF Essential Cherry Tart Liquid Lipstick

ELF Essential Liquid Lipstick Cherry Tart

I have another makeup review for you and this on the ELF Essential Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Tart. I have had this since December but only had the chance to open it :). Just like the other Essential products from ELF they only retail at P129.75 or $1 from eyeslipsface.com with 1.5 grams of products.

Elf Essential Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Tart Swatch

What can I say, I love ELF! There's no reason not to love them because they are quality products and very affordable. This particular color is amazing because it gives a very fresh look. It's a sheer liquid lipstick, very moisturizing, gives a glossy finish, and true to its color. It has a sponge tip and a twist bottom that releases the product. I like the packaging because it's very clean looking and not messy because you only get the product if you twist if from the bottom so it won't spill at all. It's also long lasting which was a surprise because I was expecting it to rub off easily as it's a liquid lipstick. The application is even and it's very easy to use. One great thing I like about it is the cooling effect it gives on the lips like a mentholatum lip balm. With only a few application, I can feel that my lips are a little softer. Not only that, it has a pleasant taste and smell too!

PROS:

Moisturizing
Even application
True to the color
Glossy finish
Long lasting
Nice packaging
Very affordable

CONS:

I seriously can't think of one :)

There are good variety of colors to choose from and I will surely get another one soon. This product deserves 5 STARS!!!

Avon Super Extend Mascara Swatches and Review

Mascara is one of the makeup products that I like using a lot because it makes a difference on my look. My face looks more awake and fresh when I have it on and I tend to love Avon's mascaras. This one I think retails at P420 if I still remember it right. I got it a week ago and I have constantly been using this.

Avon Super Extend Mascara

What I love about this particular mascara is it's wand. It has short bristles which makes it easy for me to coat all my lashes. I don't like huge brushes on mascaras because I tend to poke my eyes when I apply it in a hurry. If you check the photo above, the bristles evenly spaced so the application is easy and does not clump my lashes.

Avon Super Extend Mascara Swatch

Avon Super Extend Mascara Swatch

The photos above show how the mascara makes a difference on my lashes. My left eye has mascara on and you can see how my eye opened up and looked fresh compared to my right eye. It does make it look longer and a little thicker. It doesn't hold a curl though because it's not waterproof so if you are looking for a mascara that can hold a curl, this is not it. That's alright for me though because this isn't a curling mascara after all.

I have thin lashes but doesn't show on my photo above. The mascara really helped brighten my eye and made me look more awake. I love that it's very black and doesn't melt. I have a few Avon mascaras already and I think this is the one I like best. Although I think I can get a better mascara for the price. One thing I don't like much about it is it's a little watery. it would have been amazing if the formula was a little thicker.

PROS:

Doesn't melt/smudge
Great wand
Doesn't clump lashes

CONS:

Price (A little expensive vs the quality)
Watery formulation

Anyway the product works and I give it 4 STARS!!!

ELF Essential Eyelid Primer Review

Hello everyone! Here's another makeup product review for you all on the ELF Essential Eyelid Primer. This product has received positive reviews not only because it works great but is also very affordable. It retails at P129.75 or $1 on eyeslipsface.com with 5ml of product, how can you not love it!

This is seriously the first primer I have tried so far. I didn't want to spend money on primers before because my eye shadow seems to last a long time with the one I just made myself. However, I thought of giving this a try to see what difference it will make on my eye makeup.

ELF Essential Eyelid Primer

The primer is sheer and is very light weight. It dries fast, absorbs the oil on the eyelids, and make the shadow pick up more. One of the reasons why I don't use an eyeliner before is it melts and smudges. But this primer keeps my eyeliner in place which is a very good thing. Now I can wear eyeliners!

I've had this for 2 weeks now and wanted to try it out long enough to write this review and so far I have not had problems with creasing, even on cream eye shadows which is really remarkable! I expected less of this product and it surprised me. Now I can wear my cream shadows alone without having to worry about it creasing. This primer definitely deserves 5 STARS!!!

Black Radiance Sheer Blush Review and Swatches

I got this blush about a month ago and forgot that I had this already lol. So when I saw this again today I thought I should do a review about this product. I was looking for a good contour color when I saw this and decided to get it. The package includes a tiny brush that is useless if you want to use this for contour, and it has a small mirror on top when you open the blush.  I don't really need it but I appreciate that it's there in case I do need one. It has 6.8grams of product in a plastic packaging which I guess with break easy if you drop it. On another note, that's not the purpose of getting this blush so I won't take the packaging against the product.

The shade is in Chocolate Truffle and is definitely not going to work for me as a blush but I figured I can make use of it as a contour shade. I know it's too dark for  a bronzer but I once saw a video of Kandee Johnson on youtube and she used a very dark concealer stick for contour and it worked very well. She said anyone can use a contour color that's 5 times darker than their skin tone. So I wanted to challenge myself to make this one work too. If you check out the swatch below, it really looks very brown on my skin tone and I only has to swatch it lightly. This has a little shimmer to it and is VERY pigmented.

Black Radiance Sheer Blush in Chocolate Truffle Swatch

At first I struggled as you have to be very very light handed when applying it so it doesn't come out too strong. During the first try it looked like my skin got burned, BUT I did make it work the second try (hurray)! I had to lightly pat my brush on the product to take a very small amount and then softly blended it on my skin to contour my face. It did look naturally as if I was only using a darker bronzer than my NYC Sunny. I was happy with the result and I wanted to check how long it lasts. The photo below was taken right after I got home and it still looks very fresh after 6hrs!

I saw on other reviews that it's also available in other more wearable colors. I think it should work the same. Pigmented, blendable, buildable, and long lasting. I only got this for P99 from a local store so it's definitely worth it. From my experience, this product deserves 4 STARS!

ELF Studio Red Carpet Lip Stain Review and Swatches

ELF Studio Red Carpet Lip Tint

I wonder why I just got my hands on the ELF Lip Stain. It's been available in the market for awhile but I didn't notice it at all. I have been enjoying my Tony Moly Lip Tint and I guess I wasn't looking for a replacement because it's just so good . I was so anxious to try their tint to see if it's as good as their other products. I got this for P249.75 or you can get them from their website eyeslipsface.com for $3.

You have the stain on the other side and a clear gloss on the other, both have sponge tip applicators. I tried using it without the gloss but that just didn't work because it dries the lips pretty bad. Below are some swatches without and with gloss.

ELF Studio Red Carpet Lip Tint Swatch

ELF Studio Red Carpet Lip Tint Swatch

ELF Studio Red Carpet Lip Tint Swatch

On the second image the light was washing the color off so I took another shot. The last image shows the closest color intensity in person. It's really very red and true to its name Red Carpet :). It's nice to wear if you want to look polished even without putting so much makeup on. What I love about this tint is that it's very very pigmented! It has a creamy consistency, the color is very intense for a tint, and very opaque. It dries pretty fast and when it does it's kinda difficult to get it off. It's very long lasting that I didn't retouch the whole time I was out. The gloss wore off but the stain remained on my lips even after I ate. It transfers very very easily though so you have to be careful when you wear this. It definitely lasts longer than other lipstick, lip gloss, or my Tony Moly and Etude Lip Tints.

This has a smell so it may put other users off. Another thing I don't like about it is that the product doesn't close very well so the gloss tends to leak which is a bummer. On another note it's still a pretty good and long lasting lip stain for the price. I like it overall only that I was hoping I could use it without the gloss. I rate this lip stain 4 STARS! Will surely repurchase another shade :).

ELF Essential Lipstick in Seductive Swatches and Review

I loved the Classy lipstick so I decided to get another in Seductive. I think this shade is more suitable for my skin tone and I just LOVE IT! This is going on my favorite day lipstick list. It retails at P129.75 or $1 from their website eyeslipsface.com.

ELF Essential Lipstick in Seductive Swatch

Here are some photos of me wearing the lipstick. The one right below is taken when I got home in the evening and the one at the bottom was taken the day after. On natural light, it looks very natural and that's what I love about it most. It's also very moisturizing like the Classy, creamy, and long staying. I couldn't believe the quality of this lip color because it's just very reasonable. I can't name anything I don't like about this product. It's just great!

I give this lipstick another 5 STARS! It's very easy to apply and the color is so wearable for everyday use. There are only 3 shades available now and I hope they have more natural, nude, or orange shade. I saw on their website that they have a new color in Nostalgic and I like another one in Fantasy but I don't see that available locally yet. I'll be looking forward to more shades.

Kindly check out my swatches and review of the classy shade too if you like Elf lipsticks. Hope you like this post and good night/good day to everyone! Take care!
