Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine

This is my first Wet N Wild blush, and it's one of the most pigmented blusher I have. I didn't expect to get this color pay off for a budget makeup, and I am very much pleased with this product. Surprisingly, this blush only costs P299.75. For 4g of product, this will last me a long time. The packaging is a little plastic-y and flimsy. I would be careful when carrying this as it could shatter into pieces if you drop it. However, that's already to be expected because of the reasonable price. I'd rather it has a weak packaging than second rate quality. It comes with a tiny slanted blush brush which I don't really use because it's a little too firm, but it's good enough to have for touch ups when I'm on the go or carrying this on my purse.

The powder is fine, silky smooth, glides on the skin easily, and easy to blend. The best thing about it is its matte so it's perfect for everyday use! It has a few shimmers as you can see on the swatch below, but it's not at all visible when applied to the skin. I have been using this for three days now, and I really love it! Staying power is amazing as it can last all day without a need for touch up. The shade doesn't oxidize instead it looks prettier the longer it stays on.

The shade is a very pretty peachy dusty rose that gives the skin a natural flush. You have to apply this blush with a very light hand because it's extremely pigmented. The product is not pressed very well, and you take a lot of powder when you dip your brush on the blush so you have to tap it gently. Using a stipple brush will help to take just enough product and apply it lightly.

Here's a photo of me wearing this blush. I had to apply it lightly on my cheeks to achieve a subtle effect because this blush is extremely pigmented. It was quite of a blending work, but it's worth it :).

My verdict: 5 STARS!!! I highly recommend everyone to try the Wet N Wild Color Icon Blusher. It's really a good value for money.

Update:
I just learned from Emily Noel on Youtube that Mellow Wine is a dupe for MAC Desert Rose! The swatch looked exactly similar so to anyone looking for an inexpensive alternative, do give this a shot. For the price, pigmentation, and the staying power, you really can't go wrong with this product!
