Neutrogena Revitalizing Pink Grapefruit Ultra Foam Cleanser Review

I have been meaning to review this cleanser for such a long time, but my schedule hasn't allowed me to put this up earlier. I bought it in November last year when I was in the hunt for a good cleanser that I can replace with my Olay which I have been using for a while. The price is alright at P319.00 for 175ml of product, and although I have read so many mixed reviews about this cleanser, I was still drawn into trying it to see for myself.

• Contains pink grapefruit, helps eliminate dead skin cells for younger-looking and healthy skin.

I love the packaging not only because it's pink, but because it's looks so clean! The pump is smooth and dispenses enough product. I love that it's a foam cleanser because it isn't too concentrated anymore when you massage it on the skin. It doesn't lather much, but it cleanses the skin really well. It does remove 90% of the oil, dirt, and impurities, and it's doing a good job so far for almost 4 months now. Some say that this doesn't remove makeup, well it's because it isn't a makeup remover type of cleanser, so don't expect to use this to take off your makeup, unless you wash it twice, which I don't suggest you do because it will really dry out your skin. 2 pumps are good enough for me, and I use 3 pumps to remove excess makeup for deep cleansing.

I don't recommend this to anyone who has dry skin because this will dry your skin more and cause you breakouts or irritation. If you have normal skin, and you are prone to whiteheads and blackheads, this is a cleanser to consider. I have oily skin and fiance' has combination skin (very oily and dry but very sensitive), yet his skin loves this cleanser a lot. I use it twice everyday, in the morning and evening. I put on a moisturizer within 3 minutes after cleansing because that is the best time to apply it while the skin is still damp, otherwise, my skin feels really dehydrated. Although it does remove dead skin cells, I would, however, use a facial scrub twice a week for thorough exfoliation.

My verdict: 4 STARS! For now, this is my go to cleanser, and I will continue using it. It has prevented whiteheads and kept my skin clean and clear. I'm already on my second bottle and so far; it's all good. For the men, if you're interested in a man's opinion which has used this for 4 months, here's a short review from the fiance' :).

Dickinson's Pore Perfecting Toner Review

Oh my... words can't describe how grateful I am for this product because this has seriously saved my skin. A week ago I tried a moisturizer which I thought would work good but turned out to be a disaster! It broke me out big time and I literally panicked! I had 6 huge cystic acne on my chin area which really hurt and looked like it was going to burst! I know it's gross and please forgive me guys but I just want to tell you how terrible it was. I didn't know what to do so I watched some videos on YouTube and stumbled upon Lauren's video which I am very grateful for. I did a little bit more research after watching her video and found a lot more reviews on the Witch Hazel Toner. And I haven't heard nor read any negative reviews about this product so I ordered it from eBay right away. 

The moment I got it I cleansed my face right away and used the toner. At first I was a little hesitant because I didn't want to make my acne worse. And the smell was awful which made me think twice of using it. However I was so desperate and though what have I got to lose anyway? So I did apply it on my skin and it didn't feel like it was cleansing my face because it was so mild. There was no stinging at all. It felt like I was only applying water on my skin but after a few hours my acne was itching like it was healing. I used it for the second time in the evening before I went to bed and prayed it work. Funny thing was I had a nightmare that it made my skin look worse and I had acne all over my face! Thankfully it was nothing but a bad dream and when I checked out my face, the acne was drying which was almost unbelievable! I was so happy and I couldn't describe how relieved I was. I couldn't believe how amazing this product is and I can't imagine what would have happened if I didn't use this toner. My skin has never looked this fresh and clean before! 

I even used this on my fiance's acne prone skin and it didn't break him out either. He has very very sensitive but only skin that even a mild cleanser as cetaphil will cause him acne after a few hours. He's using this too and loving it. It reduced the oiliness and redness, minimized the pores, and made his skin looking fresh as well. We are not even halfway the bottle yet and I am already buying another one. It's also available in a blue packaging but I read that the yellow one is more effective. The one in blue packaging is milder according to reviews. In the Philippines you can buy this over at ebay or at Healthy Options. I got this one for P285 with 8 FL OZ / 237 mL of product which is a lot!

What made me feel confident that this toner will work is that it contains very little alcohol and contains all natural witch hazel which has many other uses aside from just being an amazing toner. You can also use this on insect bites, skin allergy, and many more. It has have a funny smell and takes a lot of getting used to but who cares if the product works, right?! I have only used this for a week and my skin has never been better. I will be forever grateful to this product and I will never use any toner anymore. My acne is all dried up now but the marks are still there. Although I have to say that when I have cystic acne before it takes almost a month for the marks to totally fade away. I took some pictures before I used the toner and I will take another picture after a week or so and post it here so you'll see the difference.

Dickinson's Pore Perfecting Toner deserves a 10 STARS out of 5! Seriously! I haven't used a product as effective as this one. This is the best toner ever!

St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming Mask Review

I was looking for a deep cleansing mask and I read some great reviews about this product so I decided to try it. I have used Garnier's Self-Heating Sauna Mask and it was okay but I find that it gives me breakouts. I also notice that it clogs my pores if I don't use hot water to rinse it off. It's not the first Garnier product I tried that broke me out. Their moisturizer also caused me some zits so I plan to stay away from their products for awhile. I use quite a few St. Ives facial products and none of them cause me any breakouts so I was a little confident about this mask.

If you have tried the Garnier mask it looks pretty much alike but one has a thinner consistency. It doesn't sting but has typical mask smell which scared me a little when I first applied it on my skin. After 2 minutes of application you can feel that it firms and tightens the skin but you know that it's not hurting it. What I love about St. Ives Products is that they don't use animal products, it doesn't contain parabens, and phthalates which has earlier been reported to be a health risk. 

After I rinsed the mask off, I noticed that my pores are finer and a little smoother. I didn't feel any drying and it didn't strip off the natural oils of my skin which is amazing. It's a gentle deep cleansing and pore minimizing mask at a reasonable price. Probably one of the best in the market :). I have only used this 3 times for the past 14 days and no breakouts yet which is making me very happy! I heard that it reduces the puffiness under the eyes but I don't want to try it as it maybe too strong for the under eye skin. Although it's not drying I wouldn't use this more than twice a week as it could lead to skin drying. 

I notice that my skin has improved indeed but I am not giving all the credits to the mask as I have added another product on my skin care routine which has received amazing reviews! I'll be creating another post about it and how it helped my skin look better.

I love this mask and I will continue using this product as long as it's available in the market!  I give this mask 5 STARS!
