St Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer Review

If you are a fan of a moisturizer that is not greasy yet does the job well, you will surely love this one. I have not considered this moisturizer before because I have sensitive skin and I breakout from most facial lotions. The one I have used for a long time was Loreal's Pure Zone face lotion which is for oily skin, it reduces pores, and controls oil and breakouts and I loved it a lot only that it's been discontinued. I know many users have been upset about this move by Loreal too. They make great products and then discontinue them for good which is a total bummer. Before I got this product, I was using Olay's moisturizer for sensitive skin but it doesn't do wonders. As a facial lotion it's great as it keeps my skin hydrated but that's the only thing it does. I want a good moisturizer to keep my skin healthy and minimize my pores. Based on reviews, most users rated this product 5 stars and and said this is another amazing product from St Ives so I took another leap of faith and bought this one.

St Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles which is what everyone wants. It doesn't only hydrates the skin but also makes it softer and smoother. I have to say that I am glad I read the reviews and tried this because so far it has not disappointed me. I seriously noticed my skin looked better and my crows feet have been minimized after just 3 days of use. I couldn't believe it at first but what I see in the mirror tells it all. This is suitable for daily use in the morning and evening so there is no need to use 2 moisturizers. It doesn't however contain spf so you have to apply a good sun lotion if you are exposing your skin to direct sunlight.

I have nothing bad to say about this moisturizer. It smells really like a fresh and clean, it doesn't contain harmful chemicals, doesn't clog pores, dermatologist tested, only made with natural ingredients, and is not tested on animals. It's formulated without parabens and phthalates which is a great deal. For the price you get a lot of product and it will take me a long time to use this up. A little amount goes a long way because it blends well on the skin. It's non-greasy and works well as a makeup base. I used it today and my face wasn't oily even after 8 hours which is terrific. I guess it's too early to say that this is the best moisturizer I have tried but so far it does great on my skin. As long as it doesn't make me breakout there is no way I am using another moisturizer.

  1. Are you still using this sis? Any more visible results? =) Saw this at the supermarket once and now I am intrigued after reading your review.

  2. Hello! Yes I'm still using it until now :). I don't notice any more visible results but I haven't noticed any new fine lines or wrinkles on my forehead either. It's a good moisturizer as it keeps the skin well hydrated.

  3. Thanks sis! I have been using Celeteque water-based moisturizer and as much as I like it, I do want to try something anti-aging to, well, prevent the signs of aging. =P I am in my mid-20's and though (thank God) I have no wrinkles yet, there are already some fine lines around my eyes which I want to minimize or get rid of altogether. I have tried Olay, but it just becomes plain greasy on my face so I stopped using it. Too bad too since it was pretty expensive. Hopefully this product will be the answer to my prayers.

  4. You're most welcome :). Yeah Olay is a bit pricey but it does work on skin that needs it most. I love the St. Ives Moisturizer because it's not greasy and keeps the skin hydrated. You have to wear sun protection though because this doesn't have one. I hope you like it like I do. It's a huge jar of moisturizer and it will take a long time for you to use it up :)

  5. Just bought myself a tub this afternoon! Haha. Can you say excited?

I am not worried about it not having SPF though, since I rarely go out of the house. I tried it on some dry patches on my arms and legs first before using it on my face. Didn't itch so I figured it oughtta be okay for my face.Segurista lang. Haha. Hope this works for me too. =)

Thanks much for the nice review!

    1. I think I got it for P279, sorry I already forgot. However, it should be between P200 and P300 for 283 grams of product :)

  14. Collagen includes naturally occurring protein that emerges in skin, tissues and bones. When it comes to skin, the collagen protein is found in lower dermis layers and is also responsible for maintaining skin structure and strength.http://www.whatisall.com/beauty-and-care/what-is-a-collagen-facial.html
