SOS (Save Our Skin) Topical Solution with Vitamin E Review

Hello everyone! Today I'm reviewing the SOS (Save Our Skin) Topical Solution with Vitamin E. It's Clindamycin Phospahate 1% Topical Solution. I got this from Watson's 3 months ago for only P99 and have been using this for quite awhile now whenever I break out. It's on a glass roll on bottle with 10ml of product.

Formulation:
10grams of Clindamycin Phosphate

Indication:
Clindamycin 1% Topical Solution with Vitamin E is a topical antibiotic which contains an antioxidant used in the treatment of acne vulgaris. The combination of antibiotic and Vitamin E's natural skin repairing substance is an innovation that can prevent, heal acne as well as acne skin lesions and scarring.

How to use SOS:
Wash the affected area gently with soap and water. You may use warm, moist compress to open the clogged pores. Shake the SOS roll-on and apply topically by gently rolling SOS on the affected area. When applying around the face, avoid the eye area. Use SOS once or twice a day, depending on the severity. To fully enjoy the benefits of SOS, it is recommended to use up to 12 weeks for total healing.

I have to say that this is a very cost efficient way to get rid of breakouts. I ran out of my Proactive lotion which I use whenever I have breakouts and thankfully I stumbled upon this product. It works the same in terms of drying out the acne/pimple but the best thing about the SOS is that it doesn't sting and doesn't burn the zit, so there's no dark spot when it heals. I apply this on my pimple twice a day and the next day it's already dry. I continue to use it until the second day and then it completely heals. I haven't tried this on a large cystic acne yet because thankfully I haven't had that for awhile now. My fiance' uses this too and it works well on his oily but very sensitive skin.

So far I have been very happy with this product but I only give it 4.5 STARS! I don't like it too much that it's in roll-on because it's not hygienic in my opinion. It would have been nice if it's in a squeeze tube.

Has any of you used or is using this same product? If so let me know your thoughts :). If you have any questions, please leave them below.

  6. It depends on how often you use it and how much you apply. I use it all over my face twice a day and it can last me about a month :)

  8. Hey Ash! I'm really not sure. I don't take it internally so I'm not really worried. Try asking your doctor to know more if you're in doubt :)

  9. Hi, does this help for curing pimple scars?

  10. I'm not sure for scars, but it does lighten the dark pimple marks after some time. Mine takes about 2-3 weeks and it's completely gone. Applying vaseline/petroleum jelly helps too

  11. Yes. I have tried this product and it's really amazing!! I used it for almost a year and my pimples and most of my marks healed! But I stopped using this product because I want to get rid off those remaining marks. Unfortunately, it was the other way around. I got more pimples, cystic acne, bumps and marks. I tried to use this S.O.S. topical solution but I guess I was kinda immune na. Until now I'm looking for a product that will save me from this problem. Can you recommend some? Thank you

  13. Hi Juliet! I'm not sure if I have responded to your comment yet or not, but in case I haven't I would say to use a good toner, especially if you have oily skin. I used to have bad bumps too but when I changed my toner, my skin cleared. I use Dickinsons Toner, the one in yellow bottle. Pro Activ works wonders but it's very expensive.

  17. Is it real that you might experience purging stage while using SOS? And when to put it? After i apply toner or before? And is it also okay if i put moisturizer after i use it? Please reply. Thanks :) im planning to buy it later.. hehhe

  18. This has been my HG product for years now because it hasn't failed me. No pimple can survive for more than
2 days :) . Always apply it after toner, and yes it's okay to apply moisturizer after the skin absorbs the solution. Though it's not really necessary anymore since it has vitamin e, and it doesn't dry the skin.

  19. Mawawala din po ba yung pimple marks ko sa SOS?

  20. It depends. If your skin heals well, it could, but depende kasi sa skin type eh. I always moisturize though so it really helps mag soften yung scar then mag lighten yung marks, until completely mawala na sya. So far since I started using SOS over 2 years ago, I never had any bad experience.

Always test a small area of your skin muna for precaution. What works for me may not work on you, so it's best to be safe pa rin :)
