Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick B42 Buff

Hello everyone! It's time for another Maybelline lipstick review and this is the Color Sensational B42 Buff. It's a brownish red lipstick that I want to wear if I want to sport a strong lip but feel like a red, or a brown shade is a little too much. I like this color when I'm in the mood for a natural face and eyes but want to add color to my lips. I really love Maybelline Lipsticks because they are affordable and have really great quality! Not to mention that they have a whole lot of colors to choose from you're sure to find a shade or two that you will like. 

The flash on my camera washed the color out big time so looks coraly pink on the bullet so I'm sorry about that. This lipstick is extremely pigmented, creamy, glossy, and moisturizing. I love how velvety it is, it just glides on the lips smoothly. I blotted it with a tissue and there's still enough product left on my lips and the color stays on pretty good. Of course you can build it up if you want to deepen the color up but 2 - 3 coats is really more than enough. The color pay off and staying power is rather good making this product worth every penny. I love how it looks after I blotted it with a tissue as it seems more natural. Not too shiny nor creamy. I tried setting it with a translucent powder for a matte effect and it made it longer staying, it didn't move even after I ate :). Just one thing I don't like it is the smell. It's not a terrible scent but I just don't like it because somehow it made me feel uneasy :(. It's tasteless though and the smell goes away after a few minutes, but may put off those who are not into scented lip products.

I'm not sure if there's a difference in the quality and formulation of Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks released in the States and in the UK which are beautifully packaged compared to those available in Asia. I haven't tried it yet but they look really nice from the outside, so I wonder how they are :D.

Collective Haul

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? This week is extremely busy and I lost my internet so I haven't had a chance to write a review. I barely have the chance to go online because the issue with my internet is still on going which is really a bummer. So this post is going to be a little short.

I got a few items I'm pretty excited to review and share what I think of these products with you all. The one I am most excited about are the Lioelle BB Creams. I have head so many good reviews about these BB creams and I have to try it myself. I got the 5ml sample tubes on ebay to test it out and see what I think of them. I'm a huge fan of BB creams and I prefer them over foundation, However, one bb cream broke me out so I'm very careful which ones to use. So far Skin79, Skin Food, Etude, Tony Moly, and Danahan works amazing on my skin. All of these I got on sample sizes awhile back and they last a long time because a little goes a long way :). I want to try different varieties and brands so buying them on sample sizes is really practical for me :D.

I'm also thrilled about The Face Shop Nail Polish, the NYC Cheek 2 Cheek which is a bronzer and a highlighter, Maybelline Color Sensational in a new shade, and the new Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Rose Lipstick which I heard is like their version of Lip Butter so I'm really looking forward to trying it. I took separate pictures of the items so you can see them closer :).

I don't wear false lashes and I never have but I think it's never too late for me to learn how. I got a lash adhesive from The Face Shop because the lash glue that came with the lashes were already dried up :D. That's okay because I only got them so cheap so I can't really complain about it. I'll post some swatches soon.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Wine

Since the holiday is coming I was looking for a perfect red lipstick that I can wear for the holidays. I was lucky that Maybelline is having this 30% off promotion this December so I was tempted to buy this very gorgeous lip color. It retails at P299 but with the discount I only paid P210. What a steal!

I see a lot of holiday look using a red lipstick and I just love it a lot!  it's been awhile since I bought a red, vampire-ish lipstick and I believe this is the perfect one! The swatch shows how pigmented the product is and it's super glossy! You don't need to top this off with a lip gloss anymore because this lipstick has it all! If you like a classic pin up look, I believe this is the best shade to wear :D.

This lipstick is very moisturizing. The consistency is really creamy and goes on smoothly. The color payoff is amazing and I'm just happy that I got this! I only did 1 swatch on the photos above and you can see that it's very opaque. You can build this up if you want the color to be more intense, but not for this shade 'coz you won't need it :). I love that it doesn't have any shimmers or glitters. The staying power though is very impressive! It leaves a pigmented tint on the lips even after you blot it.

For the price, you can never go wrong with this lipstick and brand! This shade is perfect for any skin tone because it adds color and glow to the face, but will be flattering on fair skin. However, will make any redness on the face more visible, so it's best to cover the blemishes really well. Red lipstick is a classic and never goes out of style... 

I recommend this shade to anyone who wants a red and glossy lipstick, especially for the holidays. I will definitely repurchase color sensational lipsticks.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Coral Sunrise

I have another review for you all on Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Coral Sunrise. I've had this for awhile now but used it last because I really liked the pigmentation of this lipstick when I swatched it from the store and I saved it for last! I like that the orange shades has orange packaging same with reds, pinks, and neutrals. I think it's a great way to know which shades you want to look for without checking out the bottom of the lipstick.

I have used a few Maybelline lipsticks but this line is really amazing and what I like more because it's not too glossy, not too creamy, and there are so many other colors to choose from. I have the moisture extreme lipstick but that one is a little creamy for me. I'm in love with the pigmentation and the new shades and its consistency. This one has a few shimmers and although I am not really a huge fan of shimmer lipsticks, I just like this one because they don't up much. It's also very moisturizing and glides on the lips really well. If you check out the photo above it looks glossy and I used this alone. The application is even and you can build it up if you want a more dramatic coral lip. I definitely give this lipstick 5 STARS!!!
